Just recently we have clients who came to our office seeking for help with regards to their macs using windows on BootCamp. They are complaining because they cannot type exactly the Arabic way of typing their words.
So here it is, we came up on a solutions that will enable Arabic Keyboard to work on BootCamp using Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Step 1.
Download the software from here. http://www.microsoft.com/middleeast/arabicdev/windows/winxp/arabicmackb.aspx, you will find as well a tutorials on how to configure it on Windows XP on that same site from Microsoft.
Step 2.
Install the software that you’ve just downloaded. Just click Run. And it will only takes seconds to install the program.
Step 3. Once done with installation, go to Control Panel -> Regional and Language -> Change Keyboards.
Step 4. On the General Tab click Add. Add input language will appear as shown below.
Select the Arabic country that you are in, in my case I chose Arabic Qatar. And click on Show More
Step 5. Finally, check the Arabic (MAC). And click ok-> Apply-> ok.
Step 6. Lastly is to open an application like Notepad. Once open, go down to the bottom part of the screen and choose Arabic (Qatar) or your own country’s choice.
And thats it, problem solve, clients happy and so we are. I hope this will help some people who have same problems with our clients.
